Rewind back to 2015. That’s about the time he launched the number one billboard marketing campaign that the hip-hop industry had ever seen. This made for a marketing campaign that didn’t just advertise their mixtape, but also showed the city and its residents a reason to feel a part of something.

For Charlie Jabaley, managing hip-hop stars like 2 Chainz under his artist management company Street Execs, led him to managing 2 Chainz’s merchandise marketing and sales as well. You might recall back to 2016 when everyone was buying CEO Millionaires t-shirts (short for Creating Every Opportunity) and the infamous “Dabbing Santa” Christmas sweaters. The two separate million-dollar clothing lines would have never taken off if it weren’t for business mogul Charlie Jabaley’s genius strategy to crack the code on e-commerce. Jabaley explains that the reversal in mindset was what really turned around their clothing line because even with a Grammy-winning talent like 2 Chainz, there just aren’t enough super fans of anything that will purchase a shirt with just the artist’s face on it. The strategy that took their sales through the roof? Creating a design that starts a movement. As Jabaley puts it, “People today want to buy something that represents them.
